Thailand is a great country. It is a very popular tourist destination and was until recently, number three in the world. It probably will again. Bangkok and Phuket are generally quite expensive, and to be honest, Pattaya can, too. How expensive is a holiday, is dependent on decisions. The number of choices open to you are dependent on pre-planning.
Book your flight to fly this morning and it costs an arm and a leg. Unless, of course, you are very very happy and grab afantastic last minute deal. Book two, three, four months ago and the price is so much lower. The further you book in advance and more airlines are available to make your choice of view. When the time is not too much of a problem that you could use country-hop and two or three airlines.
They should, as far as possible, choose the "off-season visit" too. This in turn will multiply your choice of hotels and give you much better deals. There is little difference in the weather in "high season" or'off season' in Pattaya. It is certainly so much to do. If it does not rain then the rain is usually of short duration and to be honest, a little relief.
Now you can book your hotel in advance and, in fact, I advise you, but only three days to book even if it your intention to stop for a few weeks. If you are in the low season, there will be no problem extending your stay. On the other hand, you have to look for three days and book in somewhere better. There are alwaysfantastic deals for those who shop around. The Internet is all well and good, but it is a maze of agents waiting to fly her little from the top.
Pattaya is great for food. The international cuisine on offer is really amazing. The prices are also generally much lower than in Europe. In Europe, Thai food is expensive in Thailand, it is cheap. Do not use taxis to get about. The Sang Thaew baht or bus is very easy to use and extremely cheap. There is virtually nowhere you can be out of town in two or three hops. Alternatively, you can create a "motorci" (motorcycle)-taxi. It will cost only a fraction, but you learn where you are in atrice.
Pattaya has kept a wealth of cinemas, bowling alleys, zoos, beaches, islands, shopping, golf, spa and so much more to satisfy anyone, during the day. At night the city comes alive. This is the party capital of the world, and you can afford
